JOHNATHAN TERLATO
Senior Architect

“Less than 5% of buildings are designed by architects. I want to help change that by improving the reputation of architects among the public.”

Anyone who knows Johnathan will tell you that he is an architecture obsessive, the type of person who could spend hours raving about designs by Carlo Scarpa and Kisho Kurokawa. But he is also the most responsive, client-oriented architect you will ever meet. Someone who always brings the conversation back to the client and their needs, making sure they are getting the best possible return on their investment.

Johnathan believes that great design allows individuals and businesses to thrive. Over his 10-year career, he has built a reputation as someone who is adept at helping clients solve the problems that are most meaningful to them. When asked why he came to Air Design Studio, Johnathan had two words: “Design excellence.”

Johnathan’s favourite David Bowie album is Aladdin Sane, a record that blends catchy glam rock with more challenging experimental pop. The album gives listeners what they want — but also introduces them to sounds they never even knew existed. This is exactly how Jonathan approaches architecture, meeting the client’s needs while pushing past the status quo.
