WAYNE NGG
Interior Designer
“I am tired of seeing interiors that are bland and self-serious. My designs embrace quirky and playful details. They strive for a feeling of liveliness.”
Wayne is the interior designer at Air. Friends and colleagues describe him as an overthinker, someone who can often be found sitting with his mood board, turning projects over in his mind repeatedly. “Good enough” isn’t in his vocabulary. With every project, Wayne seeks to find the best solutions, creating spaces that are not just functional but truly memorable.
Wayne often uses the word “meaningful”. For him, great design balances form and function while creating a human atmosphere. When he’s “overthinking”, he’s really reflecting on how his designs feel to the end user — what it’s like to be there and move through spaces. This question guides his work.
In his still very young career, Wayne has already picked up an IDEA shortlist and a commendation from Artichoke Magazine for Visual Communication. The best is still ahead for Wayne though, as he brings his distinctive perspective to Air.
